Low Number of Outbound Links – the more outbound links a page has, the less
benefit you will get from having a link on that page. So a link from a page that only
has 5 outgoing links on it is better than a link from a page with 30 links on it.
Volume – As a rough guide you are going to need more links than the website that is
at the top of Google for your keywords if you want to rank ahead of them.
Variety – get backlinks from a variety of different sources. Don’t just use one type of
backlink building. The more natural your link building looks, the better.
Anchor Text – always remember to put your keywords in the anchor text of your
backlink
